Utilizes RF scanners and computers to complete job duties.
Loads and unloads materials and product from trucks and racking.
Rotates inventory and maintains accurate inventory.
Utilizes warehouse racking to load product efficiently.
Operates industrial fork trucks and other warehouse equipment.
Transports materials and product from storage to designated areas.
Performs daily inspections and sanitation of forklifts.
Performs various functions in each area of material handling as assigned.
Helps others as required.
Keeps equipment and facility clean and orderly.
Demonstrates safe work habits and follows all company policies and procedures. Follows all GMP guidelines.
Demonstrates initiative and strong interpersonal and team skills.
Demonstrates safe and quality conscious work habits and follows all company policies and procedures.
Focuses on Saputo’s vision and goals and considers the best interest of Saputo and its employees and customers while performing job duties.
Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
Responsible for understanding and complying with the Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines to ensure that quality food products are handled accordingly in a sanitary production environment and delivered with superior protection to our customers and consumers.
Supports Saputo’s commitment to preserve the environment by following all established policies and procedures related to such preservation. Reports any identified concerns regarding potential hazards to the environment.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or 1-2 years of related experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read order notes, simple instructions, customer addresses, customer names, policies, benefit documents, GMP’s, SOP’s, etc. Ability to write notes, addresses, numbers and short correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information to various individuals within the organization.
Math Ability:
Basic math – the ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to mild vibration, coolers with temperatures on average of 34°F, and forklifts in high traffic areas. (Work Boots, heavy jackets, hats and gloves are recommended.) The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand approximately 90% of the time and sit 10% during a shift. The employee will bend, twist, reach, push, squat, and grasp frequently during a shift (90%). Lifting and/or moving is required for this position. The employee will lift and/or move up to 50# independently and over 50# with assistance if needed on a regular basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
