Spee-Dee Delivery is looking for a self-motivated and customer service orientated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As a Route Driver you would be a company representative making deliveries and picking up freight. HOURS AND WAGE: Monday- Friday, 7:30AM- completion of route 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week Voluntary OT on weekends (as needed) Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week Starting wage: $20.00 per hour DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Delivers and picks up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers Inspects and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle Loads the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages Collects payments for certain packages delivered Verifies the content of pickups on shipping papers Notifies management of any problems or discrepancies Maintains professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle Assists other drivers and operations personnel with duties, as needed YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: At least 21 years of age and holds a valid Driver’s License A good driving record which meets company standards Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background, and a DOT physical exam Ability to bend, lift, twist, climb stairs, while moving freight on and off company vehicle Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 100 pounds Possess good customer service and can work independently BENEFITS: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) plan, Quarterly Bonuses, Employee Referral Program, and more.
