We are hiring a Product Manager on the Steelcase Seating Marketing team to develop and manage a strategic, well-rounded portfolio of high-performance work chairs. You will use your deep product knowledge and strong relationships to lead product development and launch initiatives to support growth within Steelcase dealer-led contract and authorized retailers/consumer business.
What you will be doing:
Your objective is to build and reinforce the portfolio value proposition with training, audience specific messaging, and compelling arguments to improve sales touchpoints. You are comfortable with not only project management and marketing initiatives, but also strategic sales support. Other typical day-to-day tasks may include:
• Craft product line or portfolio strategies and execution, considering a holistic view of the portfolio across our company
• Take ownership of and manage assigned product lines to achieve growth or profitability targets
• Analyze market trends, user and client needs, competitors, sales and financial data for decision making
• Represent your products by creating and leading sales presentations and trainings for customers, dealers, and design partners
• Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert in support of strategic sales opportunities

You work to create clarity and controlled conversations. Your experience includes developing creative and/or marketing briefs, compelling opportunity statements, key performance indicators + return on investment, category/corporate prioritization, and cross-functional resource planning.
You work collaboratively across our team and the company to leverage diversity of thought and experiences, and are comfortable engaging and influencing people at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in a business-related field is desired
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of marketing or product management experience is preferred
• Experience working within the contract furniture industry or with distribution partners is highly preferred

While you are part of a fast-paced large global team, your area of responsibility is within the Americas. The cross-functional global team has diverse backgrounds in sales, digital marketing, retail merchandising, ecommerce, operations, product development, and project management. It combines the excitement of working on the dealer-led contract side of the business with the fast-growing consumer business. This role falls within our Steelcase brand side of the business.
