The Execu|Search Group Looking for Senior Network Engineer at New York, NY Full Time

A nonprofit organization in New York City is actively seeking a driven and analytical professional to join their staff as their new Senior Network Engineer. In this role, the Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for installing and configuring software, servers, routers and other network devices and ensuring a secure environment for the organization

Responsibilities

The Senior Network Engineer will:

• Coordinate incident and issue resolution across network and cloud infrastructures
• Identify and monitor key performance indicators, recommend and implement corrective action where necessary
• Coordinate and implement best practice monitoring and alerting processes to ensure consistent pulse check on infrastructure health and security posture
• Research, monitor and analyze technology and related trends that will impact the company’s technology solutions
• Continuously seek and look for automation opportunities to run the network efficiently
• Support and guide the junior members of the department in technology
• Support the vision and evolution roadmap for network, security, voice and cloud infrastructures that enable delivery of the company’s objectives
• Collaborate and implement best practice monitoring and alerting processes to ensure consistent pulse check on infrastructure health and security posture and maximizes network performance

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in the technology profession focused on IT technology services design and management
• Hands-on experience in installing, configuring and maintaining Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA, Cisco Wireless Lan Controller, Cisco Stealthwatch technologies, and Checkpoint Firewalls
• Work experience with network infrastructure hardware and software and a variety of network protocols involved in LAN, WLAN, WAN, cloud, security, internet, VPN, telephony (IP phones, SIP Trunking, etc.)
• Experience with Telecommunications Facilities including MPLS
• Validated ability and knowledge to implement SIEM, SOC and event management to keep the company’s assets safe
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to communicate with technical and non-technical professionals both internally and externally, including VP and C-Level professionals in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with the business, customers, third party vendors, and the team members
• Experience working with network security infrastructure systems and policies, including technology standards, security protocols, intrusion prevention, vulnerability testing, and disaster recovery
• Work experience implementing, configuring, and maintaining network and security functions in cloud platforms, including AWS
