The Execu|Search Group Looking for Senior UI Engineer – Digital Experience, Angular at New York, NY Full Time

A New York City media organization is currently seeking an experienced UI Engineer for a promising Senior-level position with their growing staff. Working closely with the Design, Product and Backend teams, the Senior UI Engineer will be responsible for making sure the company is delivering the highest quality code, user experience, and performance to the company’s experiences.

Responsibilities:

The Senior UI Engineer will:

• Build single page applications components with Angular (TypeScript, HTML, SCSS) as defined in design files and product requirements
• Serve as a champion for user experience standards as set by UX teammates
• Review teammates’ work and give & receive constructive feedback for improvements
• Work closely with Product Owners, Marketing, and Analytics professionals to code and launch A/B tests through Adobe Target
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant work experience with at least 2 year of experience developing accessible websites to WCAG 2.1 AA
• 1+ year of experience with Angular (TypeScript, RxJS, NGRX, Observables, etc.)
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Familiarity with accessibility testing of own code (keyboard navigation, screen reader usage, automated tools, etc.)
• Knowledge of rapid prototyping tools (Sketch, InVision, or Figma)
• Ability to convert designs into fully responsive, mobile-first web pages
• Ability to build UIs with vanilla, native ES6+ JavaScript
• Experience with implementing code to design and UX standards
• Experience with SASS and optimizing HTML/CSS and site performance
• Experience with creating reusable UI components
• Solid understanding of core web technologies-HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, AJAX, REST, JSON, and XML
• Familiarity with JavaScript unit test libraries
• Experience with code versioning systems (git, svn) beyond the basics of branching and merging
• Enthusiasm for front end development and keeping up with trends in industry
• Previous work in media is a plus
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention ot detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Agile software development
• Experience with developing A/B tests for Angular Single Page Applications with Adobe Target
• Interest in CSS animations
• Previous work in the Media industry
