Commercial Graduate Positions
We have exciting opportunities for graduates from different disciplines to work across the commercial areas of The Irish Times Group. The two-year placement provides an opportunity to get involved in day-to-day operations, while developing a broad understanding of how the wider media organisation works. This is a unique opportunity to build experience and contribute to the business in a large dynamic media group. Successful candidates will gain hands on experience, interact with different areas of our business including Data Analytics, Media Solutions, Newspaper Sales, Marketing and Digital Subscriptions to broaden and build skills as you start out in your career.
All Graduates will have an individual mentor, to provide guidance, support, and knowledge, drawing from their own experiences and expertise to help the mentee grow personally and professionally. There will also be a number of tailored training opportunities, be it internal or external, relevant to your chosen department. Dependant on your chosen field of study, the programme may include a rotation plan to provide an opportunity to build experience and relationships across different areas of the Group. As part of the Graduate Programme, you will gain experience working on strategic projects, social media, subscriber acquisition and retention, event planning, digital advertising and much more. You will be part of a team environment, collaborating with experienced colleagues and senior management. Entry Level Journalists
If you are a recent graduate or in the early stages of your career and looking for an opportunity to develop a career in journalism, we would like to hear from you. The Irish Times Group has entry-grade journalist opportunities working across digital and print, in our national news publishers The Irish Times and Irish Examiner and our regional titles, The Echo, Western People, Roscommon Herald, The Nationalist and Waterford News and Star.
The Irish Times Group offers a unique opportunity for those looking to develop a career in journalism, with opportunities in digital publishing, visual media and reporting roles. The successful candidates will gain valuable experience in producing all forms of content for digital and print platforms at an exciting time of change in media publishing. There will also be a number of tailored training opportunities, be it internal or external, relevant to your chosen department.
Candidates will be expected to have copy-editing skills, the ability to write engaging headlines and produce clean accurate copy to deadline. An understanding of media and libel laws and knowledge of SEO and social media are central to these roles. We are seeking applications from those who are committed to meeting the standards of care and accuracy, combined with scrupulous fairness, which are essential hallmarks of journalism across The Irish Times Group.
