Build, administer, maintain, and support network devices and other systems in a physical or virtual environment. This includes resource forecasting, asset management, performance management, and problem solving.
Use monitoring tools to analyze performance to proactively identify possible issues and resolve. Tools to also be used to understand infrastructure and to optimize network to increase performance.
Accurately document procedures, problems, and tasks and participate in completing problem/service request tickets. Design methods and respond to alerts in responsible areas to resolve or prevent issues in a timely fashion.
Be an ambassador to the team to work with stakeholders on understanding their needs and concerns. Clearly communicate with stakeholders at a non-technical level to build confidence and trust.
Travel if needed to the datacenter or other locations for any physical builds, removals, or maintenance / project work as they come up.
Bi-monthly rounding at clinic locations
Assist clinical stakeholders with troubleshooting their issues.
Skills, Education and Additional Information
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Information or equivalent experience in the appropriate fields is required.
3+ years server support experience required in a mid to large environment supporting network and voice environments.
IT Experience supporting desktop and/or server systems preferred.
IT experience within a multi-facility healthcare organization is preferred.
CCNA or other Networking Certifications preferred
Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls preferred.
1+ years monitoring experience. Solarwinds experience preferred.
