Information & Services Administrator
(Permanent role, 21-28 hours per week)
We are currently recruiting a permanent position as Information & Services Administrator.
Main purpose of this role
The main purpose of this role is to assist with the delivery of the objectives for effective student information & services at our Student Centre, as outlined in the UL Student Life Strategic Plan 2021-2024 “Building on Success”.
The Information & Services Administration Team play a key role in Student Life operations at the Student Centre and in the provision and delivery of information and services to the student body.
The team is very often the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors at the Student Centre.
Key responsibilities include
Ø Providing a welcoming, efficient, helpful, and informative first point of contact for all students, staff, and visitors to the UL Student Life Information and Services Desk
Ø Supporting UL Student Life in the provision and delivery of services and some retail sales to the student body through the Student Life Information & Services Desk as well as the Student Life online store.
Ø Responding to all queries via email, social media and phone in an efficient manner
Ø Managing stock levels and undertaking weekly stock inventories
Ø Database management
Ø Providing administrative support to the staff team particularly the Commercial Services Co-ordinator and Student Information & Support Co-ordinators as required.
Essential qualifications & experience
Ø A third level qualification in a relevant discipline
Ø At least 2 years recent experience of working with students in a third level environment is essential or at least 2 years recent relevant experience of working in a customer service environment.
Ø Experience in dealing with sensitive / confidential material and awareness of GDPR.
Ø A familiarity with and understanding of UL Student Lifes work as well as our aims & objectives.
Ø Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ø Good administrative, organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise projects as appropriate and work to deadlines, as required.
Ø Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Ø Ability to work well in a busy and fast paced environment.
Ø Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

Working at UL Student Life
These is a permanent position with UL Student Life, both with 21-28 core office hours per week and a requirement for flexibility to work some additional hours and unsocial hours as and when required and will be based at the Student Centre, University of Limerick.
A salary scale of €27,054-€36,738 pro-rata, will apply to the successful candidate and a probationary period.
