Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
CNNC advances the capacity of immigrants and refugees by building bridges between immigrant populations and existing communities throughout NC via community-based outreach and advocacy, educational programming, research and evaluation, immigrant and refugee leadership development, cultural brokering, and educational opportunities for faculty and students.
Position Summary
Oversee CNNC’s interns and volunteers recruitment, training and placement as well as their supervision. Work with CNNC’s program coordinators and staff to develop integrated services. Seek and apply for external funding to assist with CNNC’s programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Science with 2 years of experience working with at risk and immigrant communities is required or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, Master’s of Social Work preferred.
- Proficiency in Spanish or another language is a plus.
- Must have training in Cross Cultural Human Services or comparable training and have a knowledge of the North Carolina human service systems.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and willingness to be trained in driving a 15-passenger van.

Essential Tasks
- Maintain and develop new intern and volunteer recruitment and community outreach strategies and partnerships i.e. reaching out to local colleges and universities, contacting local organizations, and participating in and/ or planning interns and volunteer recruitment fairs.

- Plan intern and volunteer appreciation events.
