UWCSEA East has a vacancy for a freelance Library Assistant for a 1 year contract period. The successful incumbent will be on call and to be available at short notice during busy periods to cover staff absences. This position will require the suitable applicant to be able to work intermittently, usually for 4-6 hour periods during school terms. Main Responsibilities
Liaises with Library Supervisors & Head of Library Services and handles the administration duties within the Library.
Book repairs, processing and maintenance of library materials.
Circulation and shelving of library books and materials.
Other duties as assigned.
Person Specifications
GCE ‘O’ Levels with minimum 2 years of administrative experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Reliable, collaborative and approachable.
Knowledge of Library systems will be an added advantage, but are not a prerequisite.
Incumbent with no Library experience will be considered.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, students and vendors.
