Manufacturing and Global Procurement>COO NCE>Supplier Quality & Development NCE
This position (m/f/d) is part of the Supplier Quality & Development in Vestas NCE region, which coordinates SQ&D activities and ensures the highest focus on quality, safety and environment when developing and implementing the different category strategies while not compromising on Vestas’s standards and processes. The key task is to deploy strategic and operational development of key suppliers in Northern and Central Europe region by performing audits, supplier assessments and coordinating QSE improvement projects to enforce high supplier performance, zero incidents and reduce the number non-conformities.

Responsibilities

• You will ensure quality from suppliers for select production material groups used in Vestas
• Assessment and development of suppliers to component qualification with PPAP and APQP4wind
• Being supported on the transactional clarification of non-conformities by NC coordinators to step in on escalated NC with problem-solving experience to eliminate the root cause and drive down Cost of Poor Quality
• Interface internally to the developers, sourcing and logistics as well as our internal customers, the factories. In addition to coordinating the supplier, our external contact includes customers conducting inspections or audits at our suppliers

Qualifications
We expect that you (m/f/d)

• Have an engineering or material science background or similar experience (e.g., from working with composites, large size castings, mechanical or hydraulics)
• Have solid experience within quality assurance and supplier management
• Are proficient in applying advanced quality methodology (e.g., APQP, PPAP, process analysis, statistical studies, problem-solving techniques) and ideally have experience with APQP4Wind
• Are an internal auditor ISO 9001:2015 or assessor for VDA 6.3. Experience with ISO 14001 / 45001 or similar standards for EHS Management Systems is desired
• Have at least Six Sigma Green Belt certification with continuous improvement and DMAIC practice
• Have solid working experience with demonstrated quality management and problem-solving skills can replace the need for a formal education
• Have solid English skills

Main position location is Hamburg Germany
Up to 100 days travel per year
