Vocational Training for People with Disabilities Office Hiring for Term Assistant Project Officer Job at Hong Kong Full Time
The Vocational Training for People with Disabilities Office (VTPDO) of the VTC oversees the operation of the Shine Skills Centre, Shine Vocational Assessment Service and Shine Technical Aids and Resource Centre. In a caring environment, these Shine operational units provide a wide range of industry-specific skill training and support services for people with disabilities aged 15 or above to enhance their employability and support their integration into the society.
Major Duties:
(a)
To assist in the developmental activities and implementation work of functions / programmes offered by VTPDO and those in collaboration with stakeholders;
(b)
To support the planning and implementation of Shine Skills Centre (Kwun Tong) relocation project;
(c)
To assist in matters related to administration / finance and supplies, and liaison with various stakeholders;
(d)
To assist in the preparation of returns to Government bodies and consolidation of statistics for other purposes;
(e)
To support VTPDO in the coordination work relating to the effective implementation of the quality management systems and policies in order to maintain the standard and quality of the courses / programmes offered by Shine units;
(f)
To compile reports and undertake committee work in various boards, committees and meetings.
Requirements:
(a)
A relevant recognised degree;
(b)
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese;
(c)
Good work initiative, interpersonal, organisation and problem solving skills;
(d)
Good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure;
(e)
Preferably with knowledge and experience in working with students with special educational needs and / or project administration and management; and
(f)
Knowledge of simple webpage / graphic / video design and Adobe Photoshop or related software would be an advantage.

The post is in the rank of “Teaching Associate”.
(2)
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English and Chinese.
(3)
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
(4)
The appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside centres.
