Please Note: Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule .

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $70,970 to $97,580. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to the base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities based on each role to reward achievement of annual performance objectives. Profile Description:

• Analyze user requirements and convert to application design.
• Design and development of web based java applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Understand cloud architecture and tools used to build cloud ready applications.
• Develop and test software.
• Debug and resolve technical problems that arise.
• Produce detailed design documentation.
• Understand and able to develop applications using the following environment/languages: Java, J2EE, SOAP Web Services, REST, XML, JBoss/Tomcat Application Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Oracle/DB2/MySQL

Knowledge & Experience:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent plus 3+ years hand on experience building software applications using Java/J2EE technology in a web based application environment.
• Proven knowledge across a broad spectrum of Web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Java and web services).
• Knowledge in JBoss, Tomcat Application Server.
• Understanding of SQL for DB2/UDB database and Oracle 10G/11G databases and SQL Server.
• Understanding of MVC applied to OO principles, patterns, and relational databases.
• Ability to take business requirements and define functional and design specifications, and create prototypes.
• Ability to communicate with third party vendors learn how systems work, document, and explain to other team members.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work under little supervision across a diverse geographic area.
• Strong verbal and written communication skill and strong command of the English language.
