Tacoma Public Utilities (TPU) is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead Tacoma Power’s Utility Technology Services section. This role is responsible for effectively managing business activities, including section initiatives, IT projects, and key programs utilizing industry best practices.
The Chief Technology Officer will participate in the planning, development, and execution of TPUs strategies to improve the utilization of current and future technologies. This role you will serve as the enterprise architect and guide the work of the Utility Technology Architecture Board (UTAB) and community of technology solutions architects.
In this role you will serve as a Program Advisor in a consulting capacity to Project Sponsors and Steering Committees. You will represent UTS on various City and industry boards, associations, committees, and panels.
The Chief Technology Officer leads key programs (currently the Advanced Meter Program), the Data Engineering and Integrations Team, and other UTS staff that may periodically report directly to the CTO.
