Fast-paced, dynamic, and proactive, YouTube’s Trust & Safety team is dedicated to making YouTube a safe place for users, viewers, and content creators around the world to belong, create, and express themselves. Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.
YouTube’s Trusted Flagger program is a program designed to recognize and reward the global community of volunteer contributors. The volunteers help create the best possible YouTube experience for everyone by various contribution types, including flagging inappropriate videos. These volunteers have a high level of flagging accuracy and ensure sensitive content is swiftly flagged for internal teams to review. Additionally, the Trusted Flaggers also alert YouTube when content that likely violates our TOU or Community Guidelines remains live (e.g., signaling a need for reviewers to revisit the decision and ensure the appropriate action is taken upon the content).
In this role, you will lead, design and coordinate the strategy behind growing our Trusted Flagger program. You will be responsible for developing strategies to engage with our most active Trusted Flaggers while responsibly growing the program into new regions and policy areas. You will also monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of the program and its participants. This role may be exposed to graphic, disturbing, and sometimes offensive video content during team escalations in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
