We are looking to hire a VP, People & Culture who will play a key role evolving Zizoo’s culture and people infrastructure through its next phase of growth. What we have today is working but we have aspirations to innovate and lead in the people space to encompass our vision.

Reporting to the CEO, this person will sit on the Leadership team and play a critical role in sustainably building, retaining and engaging outstanding people focused on developing high performing teams. To do this effectively, getting under the skin of what we do and how we do it will contribute to the success.

You will be leading a small team of people and talent specialists to develop and deliver the people strategy and roadmap. Your mission is to build a valuable and impactful relationship, creating a partnership between the People team and the rest of the business, resulting in positive change as needed. You’ll have a blend of strategic and execution experience and will be energised by this balance.

Tasks:
Assess, challenge and amend the organizational structure in line with the company’s direction, identifying missing capabilities and creating opportunities for internal progression.

• Manage the headcount plans and oversee talent acquisition to grow with the right quality of hires at the right pace.
• Develop the framework and processes on objective setting, performance management, promotions/ career development and rewards.
• Have your finger on the pulse on the culture and employee sentiment through engagement surveys continually driving results from actions.
• Coach people, managers and leaders in their personal and professional development
• Align and facilitate leadership activity to optimise for quality discussions and timely decisions.
• Support all managers and leaders in labour law topics in Germany
• Measure and report (accurate and timely) on the performance of the business unit through the development and use of People metrics to drive transparency and accountability for People performance
• Initiate and contribute to people team projects to evolve and develop the culture at Zizoo

Requirements:
You must have proven experience as a VP, People & Culture, or similar senior-level HR position scaling a start-up from 100 to 300+

• You approach People issues and decision making in a hands on way, getting involved with admin matters as well as partnering with the business on more strategic topics such as performance management, engagement and recruitment.
• Staying ahead of the trends and best practices in the HR market and external networks to make Zizoo world-class.
• You must be a data driven person, analytical and capable of reading data and building reports to assess complex information and take relevant decisions.
• You are an excellent communicator at all levels, clearly positioning your approaches and programmes to the wider business.

As People & Culture Director, amongst other things, you will:

• Objective setting and performance management: Develop the framework and processes on objective setting, performance management, promotions and career development, reward, providing advice and support to individuals and teams as needed
• Organisational design and development: assess, challenge and amend the organizational structure in line with the company’s direction, identifying missing capabilities and creating opportunities for internal progression.
• Learning and development: Support people, managers and leaders in their personal and professional development.
• Employee Relations: Support all managers and leaders in labour law topics in Germany
• HR Data and Insights: Measure and report (accurate and timely) on the performance of the business unit through the development and use of People metrics to drive transparency and accountability for People performance
• Engagement: Have your finger on the pulse on the culture and employee sentiment through engagement surveys continually driving results from actions.
• People team projects: initiate and contribute to people team projects to evolve and develop the culture at Zizoo

Requirements

• You’ve “been there, done that”. You have proven experience as a Head of People & Culture orsimilar senior-level HR position scaling a start up from 100 to 300+
